Foundry Siding Weathered vs Foundry Traditional Colors
Posted by Jon Goggans on 7th Jan 2020
One of the questions I am asked almost every day in this business goes something like this: Whats the difference in the Foundry Weathered and Foundry Traditional Collections. Its an excellent question and worth a paragraph doing my best trying to explain. Traditional colors are a solid color all the way through. I generally tell people that this will look more like a painted shake. Weathered colors have multiple colors in the same panel. It truly looks just like the name implies - weathered. The Foundry weathered panels are basically traditional panels that have gone through an additional painting process to add the multiple tones to the siding.
Other than looks, there are a couple of other key differences as well. Weathered colors cost about $25 - $30 more per square (100 sq ft.) Weathered colors also talk a few extra days before they ship.
So this may lead one to ask, "Which one sells better?" The answer is that the Weathered Collection outsells the traditional collection. My personal opinion is that they both look good on the right home.
